This blog is an attempt to provide voters in the Bloomington/Ellettsville area with information about candidates’ positions on transportation issues for the 2011 elections, presented by Bloomington Transportation Options for People (B-TOP).

The statements posted here were provided by the candidates themselves, and have been posted with no editing (except that, where candidates didn’t include them in their responses, I’m going to paste in a copy of the questions, for reference). We sent the same set of questions to all candidates registered for both parties in the primary for the Mayor, Common Council, and Town Council races, and have posted or will post all answers received. Any B-TOP members who voice an opinion on the election are speaking as individuals, and not for B-TOP.
The voter guide appears on this blog because it’s a convenient way to make sure that only I, as the head of the voter guide committee, have editing access. Because some active B-TOP members are involved (as individuals) in some of the campaigns covered in this election cycle, we strictly limited participation in this project to those who were not actively involved in anyone’s campaign.
